MIT students initiate road safety awareness campaign in Pune

Eighty students from MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) recently participated in a day-long awareness programme about road safety at 12 chowks in the city, along with the Regional Transport Office (RTO). The initiative was to make people aware of importance of road safety. They distributed information tips including wearing seatbelts, not using phones while driving, not over-speeding etc.

The day-long initiative was flagged off at Nal Stop Chowk in presence of DCP (traffic) Vishwas Pandhare. 

MITSOT along with CII and Deloitte is organising a Telecom Summit on improving road safety in Pune on August 30. They   have organised a poster competition on telematics and road safety, where all college students can participate.
