Pune: If all goes well, approximately 5,000 students who will be appearing for the second semester examination of Master in Engineering in different colleges, will not have to spend their valuable time filling the online examination form.

As the examination of second semester of ME is scheduled to start from May 16, the process of filling the exam form is not being started and students are in a big confusion. The examination department, however, said that since varsity has all the database of the students, they will not need to fill the exam form and the exam section will directly send the hall tickets to students before the exam.
Meanwhile, some students had said that the university still has not put the notification for revaluation of subjects from the first semester and now, the second semester exam is just round the corner. Some students had even demanded that the examination of second semester of ME should be postponed, however, the officials from the examination section seem confident enough to find a solution.
“There is no need to postpone the exams as we are confident of declaring the results on time and as far as the exam form issue is concerned, we are planning to skip the entire process and will directly send the hall ticket to them,” said Dr V B Gaikwad, controller of examination, University of Pune.
One of the students said that if the university is thinking of omitting the form filling process, it is a good move as students will save a lot of time and they can concentrate on studies.
Meanwhile, the officials from the exam section said that if the plan is approved, then students will just need to pay the exam fee in the college and admit card will be sent to them. The exam department is planning to put up a notification regarding the same so that all the colleges and students of ME will be notified.
