Man ends life by hanging himself on Alandi Road

A 30-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a nylon rope from a tree at Gokhale Mala at Wadmukh Wadi on Pune-Alandi Road. The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when local residents spotted the body.

The deceased was identified as Deepak Dhondiram Satpute (30) of Bhosari. He  was originally from Usmanabad district.

The Vishrantwadi police said that prima facie Satpute had a financial issue and this could be the reason behind his drastic step. Police sub inspector RD Motale of Vishrantwadi police station told dna, “Satpute was staying with his wife in a rented room in Bhosari for the past couple of years. He was working with a private firm in Bhosari. On Monday night, he left house for work and committed suicide.”

However, the police did not recover any suicide note from Satpute’s possession.
