Kids spread voter awareness, the dindi way

Pune: Children celebrated a unique Gudi Padwa on Monday, by conducting an awareness rally to educate voters about exercising their franchise. 
Maitrayuva Foundation, which has 70 active youngsters as its members had organised this novel ‘Dindi for voters’ awareness drrive. President of the foundation, Sanket Deshpande told dna that the foundation has been celebrating Gudi Padwa for last 13 years, and has been taking out Dindi for last seven years. 
The foundation members along with school children participated in the voters’ awareness rally with placards and boards appealing voters to exercise their franchise and perform their duty towards the democracy. Celebrities such as actor Jairam Kulkarni, educationist N M Joshi and others participated in this rally.
