Gang of robbers arrested by Hadapsar police

From past few days, a gang of dacoits have created a ruckus in Hadapsar, Loni Kalbor and Pune-Solapur highway by threatening the people at knife point and forcefully taking cash and valuable from them. On Tuesday, Hadapsar police along with citizen have zero down the gang hidden at a sugar-cane farm.

The arrested persons have been identified as Bhajirao Kale (20), Udesh Kale (25), Vijay Kale (27), Hemasha Kale (20)-All resident of Indapur.

On Monday, gang had looted two truck drivers at Pune-Solapur highway and later forcefully entered the house of Meera Kasbe (30), Khandoba Mala in Phurshugi. Gang thrashed women in the house and robbed their gold chains and fled away. Victim then alerted the control room and police laid an manhunt in this regard.
Assistant commissioner of police Ranjan Bhogale said, "The entire night our team carried a patrolling in the area and finally they came to know from local resident that the gang had hidden at farm. For two hours, the policemen were chasing the gang with the force of seven policemen and finally we zero down. They were hitting our policemen with stone by climbing from one tree to another. Our two policemen are injuried."

Sub-inspector Dattatray Darade of Hadapsar police station who is investigating the case said, "Gang had created terror in Loni Kalbor, Pune-Solapur highway and Hadapsar area from couple of months. Gang are having criminal past and have several other cases registered with Indapur and Loni Kalbor area."

On Wednesday, the gang will be produced before the court of judicial magistrate (first class).
