Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejariwal would visit Pune on March 12 to campaign for Aam Aadmi Party candidate Subhash Ware.
Kejriwal would be holding a public rally and a meeting of party workers during his Pune visit.
It is likely that Kejriwal would hold a road show in Pune and could also visit Maval Lok Sabha constituency where RTI activist and AAP leader Maruti Bhapkar is contesting the polls.
Pune Lok Sabha candidate Subhash Ware said that Kejriwal is supposed to visit Pune on March 12.
Meanwhile, various organisations working in the progressive movements announced their support to Ware. The National Alliance of Peoples' Movements (NAPM) led by Medha Patkar and Suniti S R, Yuvak Kranti Dal, Milun Saryajanai, Dagad Khan Kamgar Parishad and Lokayat announced their support to Ware.
Anvar Rajan and Sandip Barve of Yuvak Kranti Dal, Suniti SR of NAPM, Suresh Pawar of Dagad Khan Kamgar Parishad, Neeraj Jain and Alaka Joshi of Lokayat expressed their support to Ware.
Vidya Bal of Milun Sayajani has give a letter of support to Ware.
Ware said that he would try to meet DS Kulkarni, Vineeta Deshmukh and Arun Bhatia to garner their support.
He said that he has been receiving encouraging response from software professionals, slum dwellers and and people from both minorities and the middle class.
