Diwali dhamaka: PMPML staff to get ex gratia, gift

The standing committee of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation(PCMC) on Tuesday sanctioned ex gratia, Diwali gift to 1,586 employees of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited. (PMPML). The civic body will give 8.33 per cent ex gratia, Diwali gift and Rs11,000 instead of bonus. According to the Company Act, the transport utility staff are ineligible for bonus.

Standing committee chairman Navnath Jagtap said, “PCMC will spent Rs4.85 crore on providing these benefits to PMPML staffers — Rs1.16 crore on ex gratia, Rs1.74 crore on Diwali gift and Rs11,000 to each staffer.”

Employees who were part of the erstwhile Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Transport (PCMT) will be benefited by the decision. Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi will decide on the execution of these benefits to PMPML staffers.
