Delay in exam results: students cry, UoP denies

Even as the results of degree exams of University of Pune (UoP) have been delayed owing to teachers’ strike, the varsity officials, by announcing a few results, claim that it is on schedule.

An exam department official said, “We had to postpone practical examination owing to the strike by senior college teachers. These exams were held in May third week.”

Vishal Mundada, a second year BCom student said, “My friends missed the chance to apply for BEd exam as the varsity is yet to declare results. I am yet to take admission to third year as I have not received the marksheet.”

Vikas Patil, another student, said, “Whenever we call up the varsity offices to inquire about the results, the officials say that the results will be out by next week. And we are hearing these statements for the last two weeks.”

A varsity official said, “BA, BSc results have been declared and BCom results are expected to be out by weekend or early next week.”

The officials made it clear that MA (external) and MCom (external) results will take more time as the Common Admission Process (CAP) is yet to get over. UoP results are uploaded on the varsity’s website http://www.unipune.ac.in/university_files/Results.htm.
