Daughter of Satish Shetty murder accused commits suicide

A 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a water tank at Panchavati Colony of Talegaon Dhabade on Tuesday evening. The girl has been identified as Shruti Vijay Dhabade, the daughter of advocate Vijay Dhabade, who was arrested in the sensational murder case of RTI activist Satish Shetty.

The family members of the deceased girl claimed that the girl was being harassed by a boy and they had approached the Talegaon police, who did not take their complaint seriously. As a result, the girl took the extreme step.

Speaking to dna, superintendent of police Manojkumar Lohiya said, “The exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be known. If the family members are making allegations, we will have to investigate the matter in detail.”
