On Tuesday, dna had reported that the mother of a 12-year-old girl sold her daughter to a ‘kala kendra’ (folk dance centre) for Rs1 lakh. To add to the tragedy, she was repeatedly raped by five men during her stay with the dance troupe. The incident unfolded when the girl managed to escape from the centre on Sunday afternoon.
