A rapidly growing industrial and residential area like Chakan, situated about 34 km from Pune city, is all prepared to welcome the first five-star hospitality project in the area – Courtyard by Marriott, Chakan on August 23rd. Being the third Courtyard in the city and the 10th in the country, this hotel is expected to give Chakan, which irrespective of its industrial status is not that developed infrastructurally, a long anticipated face-lift.

“The Chakan area has still a lot more to achieve, with respect to its development in comparison to the city. A booming industrial and residential belt, this area has nothing in terms of the hospitality sector. One won’t even find a wada-pav cart there. So we are very happy to introduce an international brand like Courtyard in this area and we are very proud to be the first hospitality project to set up base here,” says Ritu Chawla, general manager, Courtyard by Marriott, Chakan.

Thanks to this hotel, the officials of the surrounding companies, no longer have to travel for long hours to conduct their business meetings in the city. “Our hotel has been designed keeping in mind the location, which primarily comprises the industrial and the business community. So needless to say, all important business conferences, like national or international seminars, annual general meetings, and the like can be conducted here,” says Chawla.

With 175 rooms, each having a WI-FI internet access point and proper mobile network that ensures smooth connectivity with the rest of the world, this hotel has been developed keeping in mind the requirements of the business fraternity. The property is also LEED certified, which means that it adheres to all the environmental-friendly and energy-efficient norms.

This year the hotel will be going through a trial period, wherein it will try to understand the needs and requirements of its patrons. “The actual game will start next year, by when we’ll be well versed with the wants of our customers. Also, we’ll come up with regular food festivals and other multi-cuisine variety promotions to build the rapport with our customers,” Chawla adds. The launch will also offer a variety of deals for the patrons.
