Four incidents of chain snatching were reported in the city, in which bikers fled with gold chains of total worth Rs1,84,300.
In the first incident at Shahu Nagar on September 28, three unidentified bikers allegedly snatched a gold chain worth Rs37,300 along with two mobile phones, Rs300 and fled away.
The incident came into light when Kamraj Ravindra(27), resident of Shahu Nagar, Chinchwad lodged a complaint with MIDC Bhosari police station.
A 70-year-old women of Sadashiv peth complained that two persons on a bike snatched her gold chain worth Rs80,000, at Munjuba Chawk on Tuesday morning.
52-year-old Janki Pralhad Bharti, resident of Pashan, complained of her chain worth Rs45,000 being snatched.
In the fourth case, 21-year-old Yashodhan Balvantrao Mane of Solapur lodged a complaint against two unidentified persons for allegedly snatching his chain worth Rs22,000 and Rs7,000 cash on Wednesday morning at Dhayari bridge.
