Train traffic on Central Railway's Pune divison was hit after four wagons and the brake van of a goods train derailed between Wathar and Adrakai, around 109 kms from Pune. Several trains had to be diverted, rescheduled and terminated ahead of destination.

These included the 11021 Dadar-Tirunelveli Express rescheduled at 11:45pm instead of 9:30pm and the 17412 Kolhapur-Mumbai Mahalaxmi Express at 1:30am (Thursday) instead of 8:30pm.
