CCTVs not as per rules, says citizens’ forum

Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is repeating the same mistake this year, and has floated a tender worth Rs. 20 lakhs just for paying rent of 80 cameras to be fitted on major six roads of the immersion procession and the immersion ghats.
On Tuesday Sajag Nagrik Manch president Vivek Velankar pointed out that state government has clearly stated the guidelines of installing IP based CCTVs but the PMC does not want these cameras for the immersion procession.

He said that the same department of the PMC has floated tender for four CCTV cameras but for this school, it wants IP based cameras.
