The first incident took place between September 29 and 30 in Surprise Car Accessories showroom. Shripal Dayalal Oswal, owner of the shop, lodged a complaint at the Bhosari police station against a theft of Rs83 lakh on Monday.
“The shop is located near Kasarwadi on the main road that connects Nashik Phata. Oswal closed his shop on Sunday at 8.30 pm. When he opened it the next day, he found it looted. The thieves broke the metal grill and the shutter lock to enter the shop. They stole Rs2.85 lakh cash and car accessories total amounting to Rs83 lakh,” said station officer at Bhosari. Besides, the thieves stole four CCTV cameras. They damaged the footage and stole the computer in which it was stored.
The second incident took place on Tuesday morning at 4 am at a mobile shop in Sai Chowk. Ratan Wadhwani, owner of the shop, lodged a complaint with Pimpri police station.
“Wadhwani owns a two-storeyed shop which is under renovation. The thieves entered the shop through the window and stole all the handsets worth Rs16.2 lakh.
