As the sun lowered, an evening breeze began its slow and rhythmic journey making the ends of stalls flutter. The Wassup Pune 2014 flea market at the quite lane 7 of Koregoan Park had slowly come alive. Slight music played second fiddle to the buzz of chatter that had taken over the 25-odd pop-up stalls. Girls in small groups indulged in trinket shopping, occasionally picking a pair of hand crafted slip-ons or a patchwork jhola while the boys checked out the quirky T-shirts and beer mugs.
Aroma of steaming dumplings carried in the air while a few feet away the tandoor slow-roasted a variety of kebabs-on-a-stick, while we eagerly waited for the band to play.
The flea market is open from 12-10 this weekend. ( 26 & 27 April 2014), For more information : https://www.facebook.com/weekendfleastreet
