A sea of devotees to swarm Pune, here is the route & the roads that will remain closed

Punekars are all set to welcome the Palkhi procession of the two sants today. As the Palkhis of Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram will arrive today, the district administration and the city police are all geared up to make sure that they get a smooth access into the city. Considering the high number of devotees, the Pune Municipal Corporation has decided to make use of technology to reach out to them.

The two palkhis will travel these roads in pune from today.

Sant Dnyaneshwar's Palkhi will follow the following route starting from 6.30 AM:

Dighi Magazine-Alandi
Holkar Bridge
Sapras chowk
New sangamwadi road
Patil estate chowk
Engineering college chowk

Sant Tukaram's Palkhi arrives in the city and will follow this route:

Bhakti Shakti chowk
Khadki Bazaar-Bopodi chowk
Aundh road
Range hillschowk
Patil estate chowk
Engineering college road
Major Roads that will be closed after 12PM

Ganesh khind road
Sancheti Chowk
Simla Office Chowk
Fergusson College road
Modern college road
Veer chapekar chowk
Khanduji baba chowk,lakdi pul
Tilak chowk
Lakshmi road
Moti chowk
Sonya maruti chowk
Bel baug chowk
Nivdhunga vithoba chowk
The roads will open after 9 PM.

Sant Tukaram Palkhi will head to Nivdungya Vithoba Mandir and, Sant Dyaneshwar Palkhi will head to Palkhi Vithoba mandir.
