50-yr-old man, three others killed in separate accidents in Pune

Four people were killed in separate road accidents in different parts of the city on Friday and Saturday. The incidents took place at Warje Malwadi, Hadapsar, Wanwadi and Airport areas.

A 50-year-old man, who was traveling with his wife in a rickshaw, was killed after their rickshaw was hit by a speeding car on Saturday night at Ghorpadi railway gate at Wanawadi. The deceased has been identified as Ajij Kachmiri, a resident of Azadnagar of Ghorpadi. The Wanwadi police have arrested the rickshaw driver Rajesh Nandu Dodke.

In the second incident, a 30-year-old pillion rider was killed after a motorcycle on which he was traveling was hit by a speeding state transport bus on Pune - Ahmednagar Road at Kharadi. 

The Airport police station have registered a complaint against unidentified driver in this regard.

Third, a 34-year-old motorcyclist Sagar Somnath Bhor died after his motorcycle skidded on the road on Friday night at Karvenagar. He was taken to a private hospital but it was too late. Bhor was a resident of Karvenagar. The Warje Malwadi police are probing the case.

In yet another accident, an unidentified person was knocked dead by an unidentified vehicle on Pune - Solapur Road on Friday night. The Hadapsar police have booked the unidentified driver in this regard.
