The unique date of 11/12/13 with rare sequential patterns has attracted many couples to tie the knot on this hot date. The marriage registration office on Sassoon Road received 50 applications on Monday as couples have to register a month prior to their marriage date.

Marriage officer Suhas Gaikwad said, "Usually we receive nearly 20 applications daily but we have received 50 applications for this special date. We kept the office open after working hours because of the rush and did not want to leave the couples disappointed."

Citing the love for such unique dates, he said that 40 couples had tied the knot on 11/11/11 and 70 couples got married on 12/12/12.
Koregaon Park-based businessman Vaki Syed (25) will be marring his fiance Tayyabah Husain (24) on this special date. The bride, an MBA student, will be coming from the UK next week.

Speaking to dna, Vaki said, "Ours will be a love-cum-arranged marriage. We met each other at a family function on 11/11/11, got engaged on 12/12/12 and will marry on 11/12/13."

Bank employee Harshal Kalvit (30) of Sahakarnagar, who got engaged to Ujwala Jagtap, a teacher by profession, said, "Our marriage is an arranged one and we always had plans to marry on a special day. As I have heard from friends that spouses fail to remember their marriage dates, I have decided upon this date. There is no mahurat on this date as per astrology but I insisted on this date and my family has also supported me."
