23-year-old Jotiram Jadhav from College of Agriculture in Pune, hurt in scuffle between groups

Pune: A 23-year-old student of Jotiram Jadhav of College of Agriculture, Pune, sustained injuries following a scuffle between college students and some boys outside the college on Sunday morning.

As per the information given by Shivaji Nagar police station, an unidentified boy sneaked inside the study room, where some students were studying and started arguing with the students. “The students then forced him to leave the place however, the outsider later came with ten to twelve boys who were laced with cricket bat and stumps and they started beating the students in which Jadhav received hit on his head,” said police inspector Seema Mehandale, (crime) of Shivaji Nagar police station.
The dean of the college, Dr A R Karale said that after the incident, the boys left the place and the injured students were rushed to the to hospital with the help of the college administration.
He said that Jadhav is now out of danger and will be discharged from the hospital soon.
Cops have booked unidentified persons for offence under section 324 (hurting somebody with dangerous weapons), and other relavant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Bombay Police Act.
Karale said that after the incident, they have increased the security in the college and restricted unauthorised
