15 booked for violating parking norms at Pune railway station

In a special drive carried out by the railway administration against illegal parking at Pune railway station, 15 people were booked for parking their vehicles in ‘no-parking’ area and fine of Rs6,500 was collected from them.

The railway administration of Central railway’s Pune division is carrying out a special drive against those who park their vehicles in the no-parking areas on the Pune railway station premises and create inconvenience for the passengers. The action was taken from November 21 to 24 against two-wheeler riders and car drivers.

Earlier too, the railway administration had appealed to vehicle users coming to the railway station to park in the reserved parking space, citing threat perception. Now recently, the railway administration declared some of the areas as no-parking zone, which includes the boundary wall of the DRM office, area in front of the ATM machines installed on the railway station premises and the area near Sagar Hotel. The railway administration had already placed no-parking boards.
