In all probability, offices of veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare and his once ardent votary Arvind Kejriwal would be be located in Kaushambi area of New Delhi.
Although the search for office space for Hazare’s office in New Delhi still continues, the earlier identified office space at Kiran Bedi’s office in Jehangirpuri has been cancelled given its distance from the heart of the city.
Sharmista Sharma, volunteer of India Against Corruption (IAC), told DNA that the final call for the office space would be taken only after consulting Hazare. “The Delhi office would act as a contact point for volunteers across the country and should be near the ISBT bus stand, metro stations and railway stations,” she said.
After his split with Kejriwal, Hazare decided to launch a nationwide apolitical movement and many former Team Anna members like Rajendra Singh, Shivendra Singh Chauhan and others are scheduled to join force with him. The need for a centrally located office was realised by all and it was decided to have such an office in New Delhi.
Sharma said the space in Kaushambi was one of the few locations that they were looking at for their office. “The office would be finalised after discussions with Anna,” she said.
