Ujjwal Nikam, who was the special public prosecutor in 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, on Wednesday prayed to Kasba Ganpati, the first prestigious (pahila manacha) Ganpati, “Let wisdom prevail among those in the government and let Ajmal Kasab be hanged soon.”
The Kasba Ganpati mandal honoured Nikam for his excellent work in the legal field. It was presented by noted scientist Vijay Bhatkar.
Nikam said, “Now when Kasab has moved a mercy petition, I pray to the God that those in the government get the sense to hang him soon.” Later, speaking to media persons, Nikam said, “Lord Ganesh may give his blessings and make people wise so that they would help the needy and fight for justice rather than just remaining mute spectators.”
