Prajapati encounter case: CBI to quiz Sylvester Daniel in jail

The central bureau of investigation (CBI) will be interrogating Sylvester Daniel, this time in connection with the Tulsi Prajapati encounter case. The agency had earlier recorded his statement in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. Sylvester was a close associate of Sohrabuddin and Tulsiram.

The CBI had filed an application in the sessions court which is hearing the Popular Builder firing case, seeking permission to interrogate Sylvester . On Wednesday, the court granted the agency permission for the same.

In his earlier statement to the CBI, Sylvester had admitted that he and Tulsiram had opened fire at the office of Popular builders allegedly at the behest of IPS officer Abhay Chudasama. He had also told the probe agency that Tulsiram had accompanied Sohrabuddin to Hyderabad and the third person abducted by the Gujarat police in November 2006 was none other than Tulsiram.
