This is Forbes China's eighth selection of the most promising small to medium enterprises (SME). The screening covered over 10,000 SMEs in China with revenue of RMB 5 million to RMB 1 billion in 2010. The rankings were calculated based on indicators of business growth (revenue growth and profit growth), return index (return on total assets and return on net assets), profitability index (net profit margin) and scale index (total revenue and net profit) for compound and weighted calculations, and adjusted based on operating conditions in 2011.
