First Ever NextGen Auto International Summit China Attracts Prestigious Line Up of International and Domestic Speakers

SHANGHAI, Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- International speakers from Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Sweden, Taiwan, the UK and US are taking part in the first ever NextGen Auto International Summit China, which will be held alongside the well-established Automechanika Shanghai -- Shanghai's leading trade fair for automotive parts, equipment and services suppliers.

The summit, which takes place 11 - 13 December 2012 at the Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, China, is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt and the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission's International Cooperation Centre (NDRC's ICC). It is a high level thought leadership industry event that will explore new technology, management and product innovation strategies which promise a more sustainable and profitable future for OEMs, suppliers and service providers across the automotive industry value chain. More than hundreds of industry decision makers, as well as representatives from key government ministries, municipalities and influential research institutes are expected to attend the event.

Background information on NDRC's ICC

The International Cooperation Center (ICC), an institution directly affiliated to National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), was approved by the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform in 1993 and funded as an independent legal entity. Major responsibilities and functions of the ICC include:

-- Implement the cooperation projects of NDRC with international organizations, foreign governments and enterprises, and other international agencies;
