The man used the services of an agency to land a date with the middle aged "wealthy woman", who later vanished into thin air after she got him to spend 877 dollars worth of clothes on her. The man bumped into the same woman through another agency in Shenyang, Liaoning province, reports the China Daily.
He later sought revenge by informing the police, who confirmed that she worked as a professional con artist in various matchmaking agencies.
