Khoobsurat, a romantic comedy starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Afzal Khan in leading roles, is a remake of the 1980 hit film by the same name which featured Rekha, Ashok Kumar and Rakesh Roshanwas.
The story revolves around a family of royals and another of misfits. Directed by Shashank Ghosh, the film also stars Ratna Pathak, Kirron Kher, Aamir Raza Hussein and Kaizad Kotwal.
Replacing the gorgeous Rekha, the glamorous diva Sonam Kapoor is seen in a different and funky avatar. Sporting multi-coloured clothes with prints, Sonam looks energetic and vibrant playing the role of Dr Milli Chakravarty, a middle-class physiotherapist. On the other hand, Fawad Afzal Khan plays Vikram, a prince of a royal family.
Produced by Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film will release on September 19.
