Saffron Guards make locals see red

Worli Seaface, 6.20am
The seaface is abuzz with health enthusiasts jogging and taking brisk walks on the promenade. Arun Shrivastav, 50, a businessman, starts his daily routine with a jog at 5am from his Lower Parel home — his wife in tow. But after the Kalachowkie incident the Shrivastavs have been forced to change their schedule.

“We have never faced any problem at Worli Seaface. That is because most of the people who come there to jog or walk are usually from good families. But precaution is always better than cure that’s why now we prefer to leave our house when it isn’t very dark,” said Shrivastav.

However, Shrivastav has full confidence on the police. “They are doing their job, but a policeman can’t be present everywhere. People have to be alert,” he said.
