Cinema, cinema!
Till 2000, one went to a cinema house for watching the new blockbuster. By 2009, the cinema going experience has become much more than that. It is about having a choice from a selection of movies, being served good food and relaxing on recliner seats. The multiplex culture, which had just begun growing roots in 2000, has now taken centre stage. Barring an odd single screen here and there, almost all theatres have joined the multiplex gang. The cinema experience has become more complete. Like the food at the plexes, even movies now come in combos and packages. The add-ons, however, have come at a high price. Going to a cinema is at least three times more expensive and is bound to burn a big hole in your pocket. No wonder families these days prefer wait for the film to release on DVD. Now this is what is called, a complete home theatre experience.
