A 22-year-old woman was killed and four others injured in a gas cylinder explosion today at a residential colony on Sinhgad road here, police said.
A wall of the building collapsed due to impact of the blast that occurred early morning, police said.
A few vehicles in the parking space of the apartment were also damaged by the falling debris of the second floor apartment.
The explosion was suspected to have been caused by leakage of gas cylinders meant for domestic use, police added.
Three of the four persons admitted to hospital for burn injuries were in a serious condition, they said.
