Even as the maximum temperature has dipped by a fraction, the city is set to witness warmer days ahead.

For last couple of days, the temperature has been rising gradually, and the maximum temperature has gone up. It went up to 34.4 degree Celsius on February 13 which is two degrees above normal. However, it came down to normal at 31.9 degrees on Wednesday under the influence of the northerlies.

“However, the dip is slight and temporary. In a day or two, the eastern winds will bring moisture leading to rise in temperature again,” said Sunita Devi, IMD director for weather. The northern parts of the state will be affected more by the winds as compared to the rest of the state.

The city experienced cold wave conditions on February 8-9 when the temperature went down considerably. But, then there was a gradual rise in the temperature as there was a shift in northerlies to the westerlies.
