MUMBAI: During the wee hours of September 28, 2002, Salman Khan who was returning from a party, lost control of his Toyota land cruiser and ran over five people who were sleeping outside the American Express bakery in Bandra. While one person died on the spot, four others suffered injuries. The case is now hanging with the actor’s bodyguard having absconded and a key witness turning hostile.
