Western Railway back on track

MUMBAI: Western Railway resumed its suburban services almost four hours after the serial bomb blasts in its trains on Tuesday.

However, 14 outgoing long-distance trains and five incoming trains were cancelled, Westeran Railway officials said.

The first train services began at 9:55 pm between Vasai and Virar section, while services from Churchgate began at 10:44 pm, the officials said.

Trains between Borivali and Goregaon began at 11:05 pm.

Among the long-distance trains, all Gujarat-bound trains and a few north-bound trains were cancelled.
