The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s building permission department has collected Rs121.44 crore in 2010-11, a hike of Rs14 crore over the corresponding period last fiscal.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) building permission department has collected Rs121.44 crore in 2010-11, a hike of Rs14 crore over the corresponding period last fiscal.
The PCMC issued around 761 building permission licences in 2010-11, among them Wakad area received the highest (135) permissions.
The area-wise permissions were Pimpri-73, Pimple Saudagar-43, Pimple Gurav-34, Ravet-29, Chinchwad-66 and newly developed Bhosari, Dighi, Moshi areas got 125 permissions each in 2010-11.
Pimpri-Chinchwad has expanded rapidly. Of the 42,000 new properties that were developed in the past three years, 13,000 came up in 2010-11.
According to the 2011 census report, Pimpri-Chinchwad’s population has increased by 72%.
