A stationery shop in the city hoards enrollment forms for Unique identification number (UID) to sell it illegally at chargeable rates. A store named Adrash Novelty Store in Charkop, was found distributing enrollment forms for UID at Rs4 each. The forms are meant to be given to the people for free at the enrollment centers for UID.

Around 50,000 forms are reportedly have been sold so far by the shop. The xerox copy instead of the original form are being distributed. Each enrollment form has a unique number attached to it, which distinguishes from the rest. However, the xerox forms are duplicating the unique set of number; this risks the enrollment of the individuals filling the forms.

"With the similar set of number in every form, they run the risk of cancellation," said an official at the enrollment center. The shop runs right under the nose of the charkop enrollment center and a stone throw away from the charkop police station.

Around 132 centers have been established in the city for the UID registration exercise. Amassing of the forms has resulted in paucity of forms at the enrollment centers. The enrollment center running, in the civic school in charkop sector-8, refused to distribute forms to the residents. Additional municipal commissioner Manisha Mhaiskar said, "A note of the complaint of center in Charkop has been taken. The matter will be bought to the knowledge of UID authorities."
