Two farmers injured in explosion in Aurangabad

Two farmers who were working in the field received serious injuries when the explosives planted by poachers to kill wild animals exploded at Naigaon village of the Paithan tehsil of the district, police said. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) immediately rushed to the village.

Police said that wild pigs, black bucks and other wild animals are destroying the crops in large quantity in this area.

The poachers identified as Brijmohan Chitodiya, Roshan Singh, Sugan Babu Chitodiya, Babu Swarna Chitodiya, residents of Chalisgaon in Jalgaon district had buried the explosives at various places under the ground for killing wild beasts.

Meanwhile, two farmers Kanha Narawade and Nanasaheb Girhe were returning home after finishing their work in the field. They stepped on the buried explosive which immediately exploded. Both of them received serious injuries.

Watching that two farmers had been injured in the explosion, the poachers tried to flee the scene but were caught by the villagers and handed over to police. The injured farmers had been admitted to the government hospital. Deputy SP Balaji Chikhle is investigation the case.
