Having failed to dissuade disgruntled school bus operators from going ahead with their state-wide strike, senior transport officials now planing to knock on the doors of chief minister Prithviraj Chavan.
The officials are seeking a special meeting with the CM on Friday, exclusively to come up with a decision regarding the recommendations of the technical sub-committee formed to look into the operators’ demands. Principal secretary (Transport), SK Sharma, said every effort was being made to ensure that school children were not inconvenienced for long, and the issue was resolved quickly.
