Thane district's three MLAs vow to strive for tribals' welfare

Thane: The three newly elected MLAs from Thane district - Chintaman Wanga (Vikramgadh constituency), Vishnu Savra(Bhiwandi-Rural) and Vivek Pandit (Vasai) have vowed to jointly strive for tribals' welfare in the district.

The three MLAs were speaking at a felicitation function organised at the Shirsad Phata in Vasai yesterday. The three MLAs said that the MLA from Daulat Daroda from Sahapur will also join them to work for resolving the long-pending issues of the tribals.

The function was attended by thousands of tribals.

A traditional tribal dance festival followed the function, which went on till morning and several tribal dances and songs were presented by the local artistes.
