A teenager has been arrested by the Crime Branch for possession of sophisticated arms. But, interestingly, apart from dealing in weapons, the teenager also has a creative side—he is a tabla player and a tailor by profession.
Acting on a tip-offthat an arms deal is going to be struck near Maratha Mandir—delivery of an order placed from Mumbai to an arms supplier in Baroda—police laid a trap, and at around 8.30 pm, arrested Sultan Sattar Mirashi, a resident of Baroda, who was standing near the spot suspiciously.
Four .32 bore pistols, 25 live rounds and an extra magazine have been recovered from a school bag, allegedly belonging to Mirashi. “The weapons are factory-made and each costs Rs1 lakh,” said joint commissioner of police, crime, Rakesh Maria.
