Symbiosis student killed in mishap

The 20-yr-old was riding pillion on friend’s bike that crashed into a wall after hitting a speed breaker.

In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old female student of Symbiosis Law School was killed and her friend sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle hit a roadside tree before crashing into a wall on Bhandarkar Road on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Kuzang Yudal Skarma Palzor, while the injured has been identified as Nikhil Omprakash Yadav (23).

According to the police, at around 11.30 pm on Thursday, Yadav was riding his Yamaha R15 and Palzor was riding pillion.

On Thursday, Palzor’s friends had thrown a party at a hotel in Koregaon Park. The duo was on their way to Law College Road via Bhandarkar Road. When they came in front of India Bulls office, Yadav lost control over his bike after hitting a speed breaker.

Assistant police inspector VR Bhosale of the Deccan police station said, “Yadav was riding his motorbike at high speed. When Yadav hit the speed breaker, he lost control and hit a roadside tree before crashing into the wall of a nearby bungalow. While Palzor died on the spot due, Yadav received serious injuries on head and other parts of his body.”

Local residents reached the spot and admitted Yadav in a private hospital. Bhosale said, “Yadav is now out of danger and we have handed over Palzor’s body to her family,” he said.

Palzor was a second-year bachelor student at Symbiosis Law School. She originally hailed from Leh in J&K. Yadav, an engineering student, hails from Jaipur in Rajasthan.
