Super 30, the unique Patna-based institute that successfully coaches underprivileged students for the joint entrance examination for the Indian Institute of Technology, the IIT-JEE, will hold its entrance test in Pune on July 3.

The test will be held at Sadhana Centre for Management & Leadership Development (SCMLD), Deep Bungalow Chowk in Model Colony.

The candidates may procure application forms for the test from the SCMLD June 20 onwards for Rs60.

Super 30 was launched 10 years ago by mathematician, Anand Kumar to help students from underprivileged sections of the society prepare for the IIT-JEE. This is the first time that the institute is accepting students from Pune.

Students are not just trained through a rigorous study programme for 10 months, but are also provided with free food and lodging. The course is free for bright but underprivileged children.

Super 30 has been described as the best school in Asia by the Time and has also been filmed on Discovery Channel for its pioneering initiative.

So far 236 students have made it to the IIT-JEE from the institute. In 2011, 24 out of 30 students made it to the IIT-JEE while in the previous 3 years all the 30 made it which brought Super 30 into global focus.
