Officers of Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which is investigating the alleged multi-crore fraud case involving Singapore-based Speak Asia, have questioned senior officials from the public relations firm hired by the company. The police are grilling the arrested persons to understand how investors’ money was routed out of the country and whether it has been invested abroad by company officials.

A senior police officer on Sunday stated that a team of officers from EOW were sent to the Mumbai office of the public relations firm hired by the online survey company, following a statement issued by its CEO Manoj Sharma on Youtube on Saturday.

“Two PR officials of the company hired by Speak Asia have been questioned. We are also trying to find who were involved, as it seems to be a much more bigger racket then it appears,” said Rajvardhan, additional commissioner of police, EOW.

Meanwhile, sources said that they are in touch with other agencies such as the Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate and are awaiting investigation reports with regard to company.

“We want to ascertain how the investors’ money was routed out of the country to Singapore and if it has been invested by company officials abroad,” said an officer.
