Issues like shifting of the Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) and CRZ policy were discussed at a meeting of NCP ministers, attended by Union agriculture minister and party president Sharad Pawar here today.
Pawar met his party's ministers from the state at finance minister Sunil Tatkare's official residence in Malabar Hill area.
"A Congress minister has written to the Centre, demanding that MbPT be shifted out of Mumbai. NCP feels that this demand is uncalled for," a party functionary said, after the meeting.
Pawar interacted with the ministers over wide ranging issues concerning government and prevailing political situation.
Party spokesperson Madan Bafna said Pawar wanted to talk to the ministers and hence the meeting was fixed.
At the meeting, it was also decided to form a panel on Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms and prepare a report.
