Calling on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) members to send water tankers and set up cattle feed camps in the drought-affected districts of the state, party chief Raj Thackeray also lashed out at legislators who go on foreign study tours during summer.

Thackeray questioned why study tours in foreign countries for legislators were organised only in May and added that his legislators will not participate in the proposed tour to Europe.
“Consider these to be my orders, all district chiefs and taluka chiefs… must set up cattle camps to provide fodder to animals and (send) water tankers on behalf of our party,” said Thackeray told his party office-bearers.

The MNS chief also attacked Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi's tour of Satara and said it had not benefited the people.
He also announced organisational changes such as scrapping the post of divisional outreach chiefs as “there was no co-ordination”.

He added that competent corporators from Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Nashik civic bodies would be given charge of a Lok Sabha constituency.
