ShareNashik: Shiv Sena activists today staged a demonstration in front of Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) demanding resignation of mayor Vinayak Pandey.

The activists said that Pandey was appointed mayor of NMC with the support of Shiv Sena-BJP alliance and Independents but during Assembly elections, Pandey had joined NCP and alos filed his nomination papers from Nashik (West) and later withdrew from the contest to support NCP candidate.
Meanwhile Pande said he will not resign from the post.
"I have been elected in NMC as an Independent and there is no question to resign the post of Mayor," he told reporters.
Sunil Bagul, Sena's district president also warned to intensify their agitation if Pandey did not resign.
