School clerk arrested for siphoning off fees

Thane: Rabodi police have arrested a female clerk working with a school for siphoning off fees of students deposited with the school.

The accused, Lourds Pereira, has been remanded to police custody for four days.

An initial enquiry by the school management revealed that she had pocketed fees of 64 students to the tune of around Rs2.85 lakh.
