Family members of Sarabjit Singh, who is facing the gallows in Pakistan, today met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray.
Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur, her husband Baldev Singh and Sarabjit's daughter Swapandeep Kaur met Raj at his residence in central Mumbai.
Describing their plight to Raj, Dalbir alleged that the government was not making required efforts to seek Sarabjit's release.
She also tied a 'rakhi' to Raj, who in turn assured her of financial assistance.
She said that they even "tried to meet Shiv Sena leaders but could not contact them".
