Countering the opposition charge that the government was dilly dallying the tabling of the CAG report, Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane on Monday claimed that he has the list of opposition leaders who had acquired government land at "throw away" prices.

Speaking on behalf of the government after ruckus created by the opposition benches in the legislative council over the government not tabling the Comptroller and Auditor General of India report, Rane said opposition members like BJP legislator Pandurang Phundkar, Leader of Opposition in the assembly Eknath Khadse, BJP MLA Devendra Phadanvis among others were benefited by acquiring government land at "throw away" prices.

He said that the government is ready for debate on the CAG report after it is tabled on the floor of the house.

Earlier, the ruckus created by the opposition legislators led deputy chairman Vasant Davkhare to adjourn the house for 25 minutes.

Shiv Sena legislator Ramdas Kadam had insisted that Davkhare call for debate on the issue.

"The CAG report should be tabled immediately so that we will be able to hold a comprehensive debate on it," Kadam said.

Opposition leader Vinod Tawade also said the CAG has indicted several top ministers and it is a serious issue.

"These scams should come out in the open and if the government feels that there is no one embroiled in the scam then they should clarify their stand," Tawade said adding "If the report is ready then it should be tabled in the house immediately".

The Minister of State for Finance Rajendra Mulak informed that the CAG report would be tabled on April 16.

Although the CAG report has not been tabled in the legislature, some of its contents have been leaked to the media highlighting irregularities committed by some ministers while acquiring land from the government.
