Two sisters, one of them deaf and dumb, have been missing from their Juhu home on Friday evening, were found loitering at the Andheri railway station on same evening. They were kept at the Dongri Observation Home by the railway police.

Interestingly, one who was deaf and dumb, was missing thrice from her Juhu home earlier in past two years.

“The victims were identified as Manju, 7, and Kajal, 5. Manju was deaf and dumb. Their parents were informed by the police,” said Arun Bhagat, a senior police inspector of the Juhu police station.

Raju Patel, 32, resident of Prem Nagar at Irla in Juhu, has three children including two daughters- Manju and Kajal. His niece Tulsi used to bring Kajal home from school at around 4pm every day.

On Friday Tusli brought her and asked Manju to take Kajal inside the house and went.  Manju along with Kajal left home without informing their mother. At 7.30pm their parents came to know that their daughters were missing. They searched for about two hours in nearby areas and a missing complaint was lodged.

“At 11.30pm, constable Sanjay Khairnar visited the Andheri railway station where he collected the information that the said victims were found loitering at the station and had been sent to the Dogri Observation Home,” added Bhagat.
